So what have I done today?

Well I've spent a lot of time researching ways that other people have gone about making money from nothing. Basically you need something to entice people in, get people looking at what you have to offer, and then click on your adverts, and ideally buy something from that advertisement (ie. a load of clicks on an advert that don't result in sales don't make you as much money as clicks that do). Simple eh?

Well, as interesting as me wittering on could be, I've realised I need something more useful. Being in IT, and thinking the number of simple problems I've had which have not easily been solved with a google search, I thought I'd make another blog with IT tips and tricks on it, which I can add to as I go along - nice and simple for me to do, hopefully useful to other people and as it grows it should get higher in Googles rankings. In theory...

First Step - Google Adsense

Now I admit I'm cheating slightly here, I already had Adsense set up from my other travel blog (and made a whole $2.67 from it over 10 months!). However, all you need to do is have a google account (eg. gmail) and then in the account options it should have something to do with Adsense. If this whole thing takes off then I'll do a proper how to from a new account...
If you use Blogger then that's already linked to from your Google account, so start a blog on that. I've just started this one in about 10 minutes, including adding Adsense.

Make Your Fortune Online!

If you've found this then you've probably seen adverts in various places around the internet - "Make your fortune from home online!", "Never need to work again!" and so on... Like most people, I dismissed them as a load of rubbish to get gullible people to hand over their credit card details.

But what if you really can make money from blogs, through affiliate programs and advertising?

Being time rich and money poor, I thought I'd have a go, by spending absolutely no money and seeing how much I can make - I've got nothing to loose (hopefully!). If it works, then my methods will be blogged for all to see so you can have a go too, and if it doesn't then it will show that all these schemes are a load of rubbish!
